Jason Howden was born in Greymouth, New Zealand. He was raised in the same town and attended school until the age of 17. From there, he started his hustle towards his dream career by beginning to work as a TV cameraman, as well as an editor in Nelson- a local television station in Greymouth.

Career

His shift towards film directing came after he was given the opportunity to run Automaton, which is a short film released in 2005. He then pursued directing and made a film debut with his outstanding movie Deathgasm in 2014. This film helped him to win several awards both in local and international festivals.
